Lieksa is a city, but small for such. Only a couple of kilometers North and the urban impact ends totally, and fields replace streets and houses. In this environment, a three-storey concrete building seems to be in totally wrong place.
Parking lots unused for 5 years.
Obviously, this place must be something meant for dwelling.
The building is architecturally unoriginal basic stuff, expect for the balcony wing which is something unique.
View from the top floor's balcony. Not that splendid. I don't understand why it doesn't open to the other direction, for it would give a great view to the river.
Another balcony provides this kind of view.
Backyard, or is it front yard? Anyway there is a flagpole.
Behind the trees flows the river Lieksanjoki, which has given birth to a local cardboard factory.
Absolutely no traces of vandalism could be seen at the area, unless this counts. More probable reason than senseless wasting of energy is that the missing center part has contained something that somebody's considered worth removing.
A two-storey sauna with instant swimming access to the river rots without use near the concrete building. Strange.
Didn't notice this fellow before almost stepping on it..
