3. Milling is a mechanical business
From the office we find some interesting details, not only of milling..
From times when the mill was Tuko (T), a silo map. The blue notebook is a rat war diary.
The dozen trough octopus position indicator.
Functional lights are handy in exploring dark basements.
Elevator and hopper somewhere in the middle of the mill.
This elevator (manuf. year 1964) lacks some parts.
The manufacturer had a rough name,
Ammus-Sytytin
. Nowadays it's been changed to a more peaceful english name.
"Oy Ammus" - harsh, harsh indeed.
Pipes'n'valves
has gotten a third element: cans
Narrow shaft.
Some unrecognised device in a corner.
Seems to be a mechanic, automatic scale.
It's not inclined.
A mechanic human-machine interface.
The main milling machinery was supplied by
Ab Kvarnmaskiner
, the name which can also be found from some other old mills.
Pipes and other process jungle.
On top of the red brick part lies a row of diverters. Access to the wooden silos is from here via hatches.
No ladders down, only this person winch.
The
mandatory
meter photo of an apparent liquid tank.
The basement as deep as it gets. Wooden silos inside the brick walls lead here.
