| Tuko-Maatalous feed mill, Kouvola |
One of the feed mills in Kouvola region, once known as Kymen Valssimylly was built in 1947. Tuko-Maatalous owned the mill later, before it was closed. The facility is small compared to the ones of Hankkija erected later to nearby and neighboring municipalities. It is industrial scale however, and remained in use quite long.
Products have been typical livestock feeds of grain. Activity continued till the turn of the century, but for last years, the mill seems to have been mostly a storage without own production. Some years before closing, in 1996, the name had changed to K-Viljatie due to ownership rearrangements in Finnish wholesale business. Today the building, which has stood unused for several years is still good conditioned but mostly unused. A storage wing is occupied, the rest are currently empty.
