1. Sawmill area
colourline

dm-r10-kur_velsa30 Power station is of red bricks, and quite small.
dm-r10-kur_velsa31 This view could not have been photographed if the sawmill itself would remain. It has been located right here.
dm-r10-kur_velsa33 The smoke stack isn't very high. It's visible from the road to Seinäjoki, but only when driving North. When facing South, it's masked by two many birches.
dm-r10-kur_velsa34 Fuel conveyor belongs to the vanished items.
dm-r10-kur_velsa28 The sawmill has not burned, which would seem highly possible since everything excluding the foundations has vanished completely. These stairs would not have survived, if fire had eaten the sawmill just right of them.
dm-r10-kur_velsa36 Always cool red brick.
dm-r10-kur_velsa29 Foundations of sawmill, which has not been large. Only one framesaw and another machine of some kind have been founded.
dm-r10-kur_velsa32 Bolt in focus.
dm-r10-kur_velsa37 This is the rarity, a special curiosity mentioned on front page. A tower!! Sadly the ladders were cut from quite high, and there was absolutely no way to climb up there. We will only have to guess, but it's probably a water reservoir for the needs of the power station and (perhaps) log spraying. There is no very good source of water in nearby, just a small stream, which may be a reason why it has been built.
dm-r10-kur_velsa40 This building between sawmill and the timber storage has atleast been a garage. The windows upstairs look like the upper storey could have accommodated the sawmill's night watch.
dm-r10-kur_velsa39 Kurikka wood refining factory - Department of applied electronics. This combination sounds rather cornish.
