Mill of Sav0 family

Once the pride of the Suiuiuinula village in the now-disappeared municipality of Kuoreves¡, this mill and grain cleansing plant now serves mainly as a farming machine shelter. The mill is closed, but the farm it belongs to is fully active.

Active state of the farm means it's not recommended to go and see the mill. The DM have experienced problems related to Sav0 before, and the effect happened here again - even if we were far from East Finland. So the message is, if you should go and see this place, do it with permission. Seriously.

The mill on one autumn afternoon.
Winter view some years earlier.
Maybe it was a bit misconducted to walk straight into a family owned estate, but the door was open. It worked for the first time, the second time brought some trouble.
Once inside, almost the first thing to see was this switchboard. Quite cool with marble frames and old style ampere meters, but the new plastic cover meters disturb the totality.
A detail of the marble panel.
General interior of the mill.
It says access forbidden above the doors, though I fail to see who is it meant for.
There were lots of grain sacks, even quite new looking ones. There is one operational machine inside the mill, so actually it's not 100% abandoned (although the owner in fact mentioned that the building is "abandoned").
The stone mill and difficult light conditions.
The wheat bin is everything but empty. Cubic meters of raw grain available.
Still forbidden.
This is the restricted area. Doesn't look very secret, except that there are holes to avoid on the floor.

A room with lots of old paper stuff. The upper photo was taken 4,5 years earlier than the second and it seems that practically nothing has changed.
Detail from the paper mess.
Unbelievably small sized motor and wheels in machine room. Belt driving rules.
On top of everything is the tower room. This is the round window hole decorating the central top of the building.
Ofcourse there are many stairs and ladders due to several different levels of the inside cosntructions.
The manufacturer's plate. Hankkija, the grain specialist has organized construction of this mill.
Thick grain layer still covers everything on bottom floor of the mill. There is still also smell.
Transformer booth is near, it's just behind the mill so the mentioned minimal motor surely had enough power to spin.
This heavily built cowbarn at the opposite side of the road belongs to the same farm as the mill.
