Vehmainen was one the many train stations in Tampere region, and one of the last to be demolished. That happened in the summer of 2000. The station had stood on its place since 1883, so quite many people, including city board of antiquities would've wanted to keep it there. Bad condition of the building, however, spoke strongly enough for demolition.

The building had been cold for long, and local youth had started frequenting it by the time we found the place early in 2000. Violator practised using the brand new digital camera with an idea to return later for more. However, the chance to return for better pictures never came, so these will have to do.
