| 3. Maintenance corner |
Basement's lights are operating, just like lights in the staircase. Who pays the bill?
Toilet unused for quite some time had become spiders' hunting area.
Similarly to te feed mill in Raunistula there is an unreachable section in the basement. This one is much, much smaller though.
Pipes in the basement.
Pit where the pipes start ascending towards the top of the building.
Boiler room.
Anti tag action in an abandoned staircase?
Electricity distribution room was unlocked on visit #1. Next time it was locked.
Not in use, not in use...
Someone mentioned trains..
Floor plan from early 1970's, when the mill was expanded with the storage part. This drawing shows the old tower part.
Upper storeys' rooms are small and they have mainly served maintenance works.
521 stays. Machines not to be removed (after shutdown?) have been marked.
Junk area.
More stuff abandoned by stores.
The compressor room..
Contains a compressor and pressure reserve by Hydor.
Something pneumatic.
Pipes and peek windows to the grain shafts.
Another machine marked "stays".
Another small room.
This firm is no longer in register.
Then, this firm is active.
Only a couple of footsteps can be seen in the grain. Apparently no-one was too interested in these rooms.
The top floor is wider than the floors between.
There is also more machinery on top.
Sometimes octopussies may look like this.
Central pipe thingie?
Elevator's reduction gear is packed in a neat box.
Numbering of elements seems to be very systematic. Every machine, conveyor, silo etc. has a unique number.
Silo access, once again passed by.
