| 1. The tower |
Information to those lost at the destination, the target is located in Nekala.
For years, the tower has stood at the industrial area without frequent use. An active firm operates in the expansion wing (built in early 1970's) which continues to the right, so we're speaking of a half-abandoned thing.
The last user and owner, Kesko, painted their name permanently to the wall.
View from a courtyard formed by neighbor buildings and the extension wing. The yard is occupied by trucks and people visiting the estates, so this side is better left in peace.
The steel silos have new use. They shelter pallets of the firm operating nearby.
Indicator lamps at the former grain receiving platform.
In winter they dump snow to this side of the building to form an artificial hill of dirty snow and sand. By early July it had melted, anyway.
Conveying equipment is intact - almost.
You can still find active brick smoke stacks from Nekala. The one of Valio's dairy stands far right in the background.
(Feed) oil reserve of the mill is an insulated steel tank with a removed cap on ground level. Someone has utilised it by sleeping there, leaving a mattress as an evidence behind.
The door visible here has been open for some time already. What's behind it?
A room with sofa and boring tags. The burner, or something related to the burner which has been here is missing.
One of the neighbor buildings is strangely colourful. That's the headquarters of Sorin Sirkus, who had to leave from the two previous locations because they were demolished.
