Turun Muna was a wholesale store specializing in chick hatcheries, like the name hints. There is a very limited amount of information available of this store, which has operated since at least early 1930's. Anyway Turun Muna operated independently till 1981, when it became a part of Suomen Sokeri. Turun Muna had a feed mill in Turku that started in 1973, and a smaller and older facility in Tampere. At some point the Tampere mill was sold to Kesko store, who have a lot of other premises in the same city part. Kesko didn't run own feed production, so apparently they never used the mill itself, except maybe the grain storages.

Looking at the traces, the small grain lab seems to have been operating still some time ago. The feed mill has surely been halted longer. Expansion wing of the mill has users, but they don't seem to care about the unused parts of the building. Currently the building is still rather untouched, but first vandals have found a way in as there are some security gaps. We'll see if the place becomes a new "kolkos" or "onkiniemen feimi" after some more years, if nothing is done to prevent it.
