Industrial area of Toppila in Oulu city probably ranks among the top ten of cool Finnish industrial areas. Or atleast it has been so, before some recent construction projects. The sulphite pulp mill, flour mills of SOK and Vaasanmylly, feed mill of Raisio, power station, storages.. This page is a yet unfinished scratch to the surface of post-industrial Oulu.

It is not just another boat in the picture, it's M/S Letto, a large fairway maintenance vessel used for breaking ices of the Bothnian gulf. |
