The island is nowadays a traveller attraction with harbour and services, including this former customs building now converted to a restaurant.

The bridge to Pitäjänsaari resembles a railway bridge. There's a railway in nearby, and it could be that there's been a connection to this island from there.

Just a few hundred meters from the tourist harbour, there it was - the samwill.

It was friday afternoon and they still did production before weekend. But looking closer there's something else too, something old.. Oh my god, it's an old gangsaw.

Because it's a gangsaw means that something should be surrounding it that is not - there should be a sawmill here.

There were two of them - One Söderholm and one Karhula, which could be considered a local product.

This is all they left us to explore. Back in these days we didn't have an endlessly long queue of UE targets to check, and every potentially good target lost was a major setback. So, frankly we were pissed off.
