| 3. Assembly halls |
From here starts a different section. In 1999 there were European Union summits in Tampere, and this hall was the media gathering center with decent telecommunication systems and enough space.
These lamps gave light to the reporters. I suppose.
Interior is nice with different coloured walls that reveal original architectural details. This hall will be saved, and turned into offices, surprise.
This area is between the ripped locomotive assembly hall and the media halls.
Same place from higher, too bad it's a shook one.
Nice one.
There's more light here even without broken walls, thanks to skylights.
Same place closer.
End of the building. In the other end there's the dark old sports hall, here's it's light pastel coloured negation.
I've really no idea why there are these weird remains of something on the floor.
There are platforms and catwalks with ladders and steel pipe stairs also here, but they're neater.
In the basement. They've left an air compressor of company's own production here. For some reason it's make is Tamrock instead of Tamrotor, which, afaik, is the compressor brand still being produced.
Here are the toilets, in the basement.
A constant dip-dip sound echoed from this dark room in the basement. Something leaks badly here, somebody better fix it since this building will not be destroyed.
A bigger sort of mains switching point.
A message related to operating the hook lift.
Another heavier lifter.
A bit different angle.
There's sort of storeys in some middle parts of the building. This is there.
This place is above ground and they've probably hid the bobcats here to prevent thefts and vandalism.
Same place.
There's a big elevator and here at the top of the concrete platforms is it's engine room. It's locked again, ofcourse.. grr!
The assembly hall looks like this from the dark middle storey, through a pipe hole.
A whole transformer family resided here.
The place in October. It's changed!
This logo is well known to many. Some old piece of plywood at the yard.
