This Gerlinger is spending it's pensioner days inside a dedicated water proof garage, that's why it's not even rusty. We were told that since the garage is about to go down the owners are looking for a museum which would take this vehicle to it's collections.
It's a straddle carrier for moving timber in case you didn't notice already. Who knows, with some naphta and pulling power, it might start running.
"That's where I'm from!"
The dock seen from the power station. It's irrecovably rotten.
Old booth by the dock.
Remains of the dock and sawmill's yard.
Believe it or not, behind the trees, just a couple of meters away is a building, that we call a garage. Not sure what all it was originally meant for, maybe a sauna for workers and such.
Odd stuff. It's always interesting finding really strange items from abandoned buildings, like this. A genuine and definitely hand made sleigh. It's ooooold, I think about the same model that Santa Claus uses.
More stuff in the same place.
This seal is not Kemiö's, it's the seal of Västanfjärd, a Swedish speaking nearby county.
We were told in a mail that this is a planer. We first thought it's just a carpenter workshop, but so did the reports of the national board of antiquities. Anyway. it's condition isn't too good.
Inside. Refer to the comment above.
If we had taken a picture the year before shooting this, you would notice a dramatic change here: A very old VW beetle van has disappeared! Knowing it's condition (very rusty, no windows etc.) you would think the owner took it to some legal junkyard, but no - a tin smith had started to work on fixing the van up.
It's dark, although this is shot in daytime. General old stuff.
