Former sugar factory of Suomen Sokeri is a big complex on the island of Vaskiluoto (Vasklot) in the city area of Vaasa. The factory has developed stylish loghouses with brick exteriors to a park near it. Location is good and they're obviously historically and architecturally valuable. Still, the houses were let to quite a bad condition, until the glory was restored recently. Some of them already had new users when we visited the place quickly one afternoon, but one was still badly unfinished, waiting for restoration to start.

	No idea how much an apartment in these houses would cost, but they're obviously not the cheapest flats in town. The neighborhood is parky and clean.
	Quickly looking this house isn't too different..
	But from this side its a major disturbance to it's clean and beautiful environment.
	Operation under work was not demolition, but a total reparation to a modern house.
	Potato cellar and round window.
	Entrance to one apartment. Nice wooden stairs, but otherwise boring.
	Missing floor planks made walking a bit complicated in certain parts of the house.
	Interiors had been very aged. It must be some time ago anyone lived here.
	Cooking ovens were very old, probably original fittings from the constructioning time.
	One switchboard on a way to the final destination.
	Scary. No graffiti, no name writings.. But drawn bats and insects!!
	Neighborhouse gives example of what this house will eventually look like.
	High rooms, high tile ovens.
	The house contained four (?) spacy apartments split on two floors. Residents must have been of the factory's richer staff.
	Floors contained, not broken glass.. but hay!
	Burning anything in the ovens had been prevented by filling them. Result didn't look good. Because such an action was necessary, last residents may have been those who couldn't cope anywhere else..
	Since the wallpapers had been ripped, some old writings had been exposed. ES 1967 VS could be the initials of those who glued the wallpapers?
	Perhaps these doors are going to recycle use. Considering the circumstances they looked still good.
