The only sensible way to hit the sawmill area is to go through the fence from the old workers' residential area, and walk straight on the road which then leads here. The massive timber storages.
We heard that the area is being advantaged by the Finnish defence forces. They use some of the estates for urban war training. Atleast this timber storage belongs to those buildings.
This is under the storages. The switch boxes must be from the sawmill, which is about half a kilometer from here.
Same place.
Continuing walking from the timber storages you'll end up here. Other possibility is to drive in if the gates are open, but then you'll have to risk that someone may lock the gates while you're inside the fences. Not nice.
The sawmill looks so fine outside you wouldn't guess it's so fucked up from inside. Notice the unusual colour. Really not hard to enter, removing the machines has forced them to make some big holes to walls.
Other side of the sawmill seen from the beach.
Front yard of sawmill.
At the other side you see that the mill is not in such a great condition after all.
Behind the mill there is this concrete construction now dumped with trash. It's probably related to handling incoming logs.
Abstract items at the log storage.
At the other side, this tunnel kilning building has had a capacity to dry enormous amounts of fresh timber.
The other end of the massive drying building is unattractive. The huge inside space serves as a boat shelter.
Storage and conveying constructions in front of drying tunnels.
This wheel system on heavy foundations was apart from all the other buildings. No idea what it was and why it's so separate.
Pool near the wheel installation. No further information.
