Hey wow, this building for sure is abandoned! Or atleast we thought so. We were a bit surprised to see vehicles at the yard, but decided to go around the corner anyway.

The first trip was terminated due to excess activity at the site. About 7 years later the reason for the activity was unveiled, thanks to the power of internets.

For comparison, the same view in autumn of 2005. What we thought to be a demolition was actually conversion, but a lot of stuff had been ripped away in any case.

Once upon a time, these windows were boarded. The remaining plywoods don't protect very much.

Cement dust rises again! Nowadays the building is part of a modern concrete production plant.

Auxiliary storage at the yard is in a condition similar to the cement station. Some removed silos are still present.

This section has had a roof above it, now it's the top.

On top of the higher part, the pipes rising from the building reach towards emptiness. The long pipes down have been removed at some point between 2003 and 2005.

Entrance to a room under the big silo is open because construction workers came in through it in the morning. By that time, morning explorers were already there.

Old railroad from Jyväskylä to Suolahti bypasses the cement station. It's been very little used since 1960's, but there are still tracks here at the former railyard of Sulku. A machine, apparently belonging to the city of Jyväskylä came here to do some work around 6:30 am.

Old points and derailers from Vilppula have ended up in a stack at Sulku.
