We are DM. We go by the pseudonyms Violator (a.k.a signals) and Raiztlin (a.k.a da AlChemist). We are not any crew or gang, just two guys from Finland. For long, our hobby has been visiting places that are no longer actively used. A special interest to us is industry in it's all forms, but we're absolutely not picky, so our targets range greatly. During later times we've taken a camera of some kind to most trips and this site is about collecting the photos together with a suitable considered amount of background data.
To put it very briefly: this site contains photos from abandoned buildings and background information regarding the places.
Visiting unused places is often considered a part of Urban exploration (Wikipedia's articles: english - finnish). Yet no one has come up with a more suitable term in finnish, so we continue to call ourselves UE hobbyists, although it is a slightly limited definition, and on the other hand covers a lot of activity we're not into.
This site has been developed during a long time (starting from 1997), and it's a big totality to maintain and update. This may show in many ways if you browse around more. We took the oldest photos still as school youngsters, and from those times quite some growing has occurred. Today we might not fully support everything that happens in the photos, or what's written to comment them etc. As the saying goes, if something doesn't grow or evolve, it dies
