| 3. Upper storeys |
Three main staircases connect the storeys. Only one of them has a lift.
Welcome to light! After dark and stenchy basement and bottom floor, entering these bright rooms is relieving.
Some to-be-done work for local boys. Too many screens are yet unbroken.
In contrast to bottom floor, where most things were burned or just black or white, here the stuff is so colourful.
A set of pipes which here have their original colours, unlike downstairs where they are covered in rust.
"Pipes", or actually more pillars.
Going up one floor.
One of the mixers where grain, oils and other ingredients were put together to form feed for industrial farming animals of South Western Finland. Poor creatures having had to eat that disgusting smelling stuff.
Large hollow cones opening to emptiness tell that something big is missing from here.
Guess if these pipes are insulated with asbestos?
The chemistry lab isn't in best shape.
Control room. Holy f.., what those guys have done here.
A giant window frame isn't it!! From here one can walk this part of the roof, which is partially burned and growing weeds.. Sounds like a bad idea? No, it's perfectly safe.
Proceeding up, the building gets narrower. The wide part is only about 4-5 storeys, and from there continues a narrow part up to some 10 storeys. A "few" seeds have ended up wrong side of the pipes.
What, DM already was here? How come I don't remember?
Graffiti somewhere in the staircase.
Up.. 7th floor.
Definitely floor #8. Most of the rooms in the narrow part look the same, with pipes going through and seeds on the floor and not much else.
A group-dedicated piece somewhere in the rooms.
Home sweet home! =) One of the funnier finds in the rooms.
A major pipe leak here.
Quickly looking it's Evil Eyes, but actually they're the windows, which can be seen on top of each silo. So when peeking out of these holes, one can be seen by half of the population of Turku - although very far.
Top of the silos and grain conveyors creating junglistic environment.
Numerous octopussies.
This crew has chosen an interesting name..
Out of the original building: on top of the steel silos. They have an extra shelter around and above them, which creates a kind of hall inside. Wind and rain made constant loud sounds, which can be heard in the mpeg clip from the front page link.
