The first sawmill we ever found with the aid of yellow bible was this place, a steam sawmill very near Tampere, but completely hidden from those who don't know. A shamefully long time passed before we managed to inspect the place with the thoroughness it deserves.
A sawmill started functioning at this place in 1887. It was rebuilt around turn of 20th century. Last owner, Rauma-Repola (again, surprise!) ceased sawing in 1956, but after this, a new industrial era began. The area became a bottling facility for Coke and Fanta, which were then a new, ultra-cool thing in Finland. Successors of Pirve Oy, who started the soda business, have occupied the area until recent times. Current status of the newer drink storages and facilities is a bit unclear.
The actual mill was never used after sawing ended, but it was converted to a storage, which guarantees that original interiors have disappeared completely. Practically all the artifacts to be found are from soda producing times, but they are nothing to dismiss. Also, the area's industrial use of later times is to be thanked for the fact that the sawmill, which was closed 50 years ago is still present. Imagine a wooden building standing 50 years unused at the border of a growing city - not many places have survived as well as this sawmill.
