Taivassalo is a small municipality in southwestern archipelago Finland. The sawmill was built in early 1900's on a medieval harbour and operated till 1980's. Now the place serves tourism and archipelago residents, the sawmill exists but has new users and there's nothing to see. Except for the smoke stack, which is original unlike the sawmill itself which has been re-built.

Seawind blowing without a pause for over 90 years has decayed the chimney, but so far it stands. |

The smoke stack is much older than the sawmill, and it shows. Everything else has also been taken care of much better. |
