| 3. Melalahti |
This is former Melalahti as., a closed and condemned train station.
Trees of this size growing of the front yard tell that final closing occured quite a long time ago, in early 1980's.
These buildings belong to the adjacent summer cottage and thus are not forgotten.
The station is boarded and absence of vandals has kept it so, but there is a way to go inside.
Waiting room and ticket shop.
One must wonder what was the reason to board a window inside the station?
The kitchen.
Upper storey contains only a typical attic.
Apparently need for storing freight was small, so the storage has been integrated to the station.
Back outside we find an old telecomms device.
It looks older when opened..

Unfortunately there was a communication cut, so no-one answered in the other end (that would supposedly be the station of Paltamo).
