3. Family cemetery
colourline

dm-tre_notski01 Entrance gate to the cemetery comes soon, if you know which way to walk. The place is at the opposite side of the pulp mill than the manor house and not inside fences. You just have to find the dirt road.
dm-tre_notski02 The gate is locked, do we have a problem here?
dm-tre_notski05 May well be. Wihout hard bottomed boots (like with sneakers) it's no use trying to climb the fence. Only climbing supports near the ground are ornamental spikes, such as these here on top, and I would not want to test how it feels when one goes through your boot.
dm-tre_notski04 Once on top of fence, there are still the spikes to look out for. Except that the fence looks very nice, it really also works efficiently.
dm-tre_notski10 Wilhelm, who did nearly 70 years career with the cotton mill, out of which 30 last years as a sovereign "patron" and most famous of the von Nottbecks, has a relatively modest tombstone.
dm-tre_notski09 Constance Marie Elise, spouse of Wilhelm, has then the largest tombstone of all. For some reason there is a mismatch with the birth date marked here and the birth date told by www-references. This has somehow more credibility.
dm-tre_notski13 The stone on the left belongs to Alex.(ander), maybe the best known offspring of Wilhelm von Nottbeck. His name is in a beer, a restaurant and who knows where else. He died in 1900, because refused to receive medical treatment for appendicitis. His brother Peter had faced the same faith a year earlier. On the right, Ernst who died violently in 1885 on the ices of lake Näsijärvi. All were young.
dm-tre_notski08 Later generation Walter and Andree, who have given name to a Foundation for environmental research.
dm-tre_notski12 Behind the trees is modern world with big shopping malls. This place is effectively hidden from them, even if not far.
dm-tre_notski03 The chapel is pearl of the cemetery.
dm-tre_notski07 Fine brick work again.
dm-tre_notski14 Over a century behind, and lots of years to come. The chapel and the cemetery are naturally officially preserved.
dm-tre_notski06 This would be a peaceful place to rage at, but even the vandals who (must) have found the place have understood not to break windows or tag anything.
dm-tre_notski11 Heavenly atmosphere inside the chapel, I would say.
dm-tre_notski15 Exit and one more view to the spikes, which are nothing to play with when climbing the fence.
