| 1. Farming buildings |
Guard of the area, chemi-mechanic pulp mill of J.W. Enqvist. Nowadays they make it real.
This all is inside the industrial area! Obviously a pulp mill doesn't need old farming buildings or fields, but they still own the plot and have fences around it, which makes things a bit difficult.
First encountered building was behind another fence.
Nottbecks cherished architecture. The factories they built, as well as all other buildings from cowbarns to working class accommodation houses were masterpieces. I don't know what animals this building housed, but it sure looks good compared to the corrugated steel equivalents you see in modern countryside.
Narrow end of the building.
First floor's window. Some sort of private workshop activity has reserved this estate.
Feed tower of red bricks, just like everything else.
Nice roof of the tower. Looking down you could see something less neat, stacks of old newspapers. Maybe the pulp mill has actually used this tower, for storing recycle paper. Feels stupid, but how did all the papers end up there then?
Very hard to tell what house has been.
Triangular shape of roof of that something that has vanished from here and the long columnal layout of the foundations brought a theory into my mind: there could have been greenhouses here. It would explain why some parts are missing while other parts stand strong. Waste incinerator would also solve the use of the brick house and explain the unusually high chimney.
This barn has been capable of sheltering quite an amount of livestock.
Well taken care of courtyard of the barn.
Narrow end.
Last but definitely not least comes the main sight, which lurks behind the trees and a Beetle. Seeing these huge feed storages was the primary inspiration and reason for the trip.
Just look at this.. Need I explain why this was the main target?
I've never seen anything nearly as big, or beautiful, what comes to farm buildings.
The 10 side tower.
Tower again.
Image is like it was a castle. In a very weird place.
The towers and other buildings in the front, which are totally unused.
