Without a doubt this is ghost stuff. When we arrived, the main gate was properly closed and locked. So we parked the vehicle to a remote place and entered through forest. After few hours of expeditions, the gate was open. We decided to jet while it was still open - this was obviously a sign. Leave now, or stay forever..

Nearly three decades without caretaking or use, yet the crushing plant stands without immediate danger of collapsing.
The crushing plant consists of two tower-like crushing buildings and an "overground tunnel" connecting them.
The conveying tunnel, supported only by a few wooden beams, is also in surprisingly good shape.
Gray, very gray.
This has been the facade of the mine looking toward the road and gate. After 1920's, it had a P <hacks> K logo, which has since fallen to the bush.
Outlets for crushed product. Loukolampi here I come..
Yes there is still some stuff left. Storms, rain, nothing has swept it away.
The narrow gauge railway has mostly vanished. Here, where the carriages have been lifted up the steep hill from the pit to the crushing plant, there are some remaining tracks.
Notice the barbed wire to the left of the rusty cabin.
A gate, but where..
To the open pit of course. Actually Montola has been an underground mine, but there is also a largish open pit around the tunnel entrances.
Beautiful, but slightly dangerous construction. Once again, Kuljemmeko vetten päällä?..
It was quite a trip down to the pit. The banks are really steep, and it's a jungle in there. We were attacked by several armies of small bloodsucking, flying things. Early spring time would be recommended time to visit this place. But it was worth the effort, just check this surreal scenery.
Some kind of water duct goes long in the air after popping out of the ground.
Local divers use this pit as a diving target, so there must be an easier route to the water. It's probably at the opposite shore. We kept distance to that direction, since the owner lives there and he was home.
It was too early summer for comfortable swimming. But this would a great place to swim, even without diving.
