Construction firm A. Lampola has operated in Rauma since at least 1960. Their main business has been, and continues to be, building. The firm had an own concrete element factory that was closed in the end 1990's. The old main office of A. Lampola was also located at the same area and abandoned at an unknown time.

Without any information other than Thomas Da'Scraps photo of a small article about this place going under the hammer, we drove to Rauma one morning. The place couldn't be missed. It was a large waste area just before the city, when approaching from East. Demolition was coming soon, and what was left of the factory and office buildings was a terrible mess. Soon the area will hold a couple of new hypermarkets.
