The gang saw in the sawmill has a historic plate. The machine was made in Tampere.
Front view.
Other side. This is the only sawing machine around. Thus sawing was performed as simple cut. A collection of reference woodsticks behind.
The line has sort of dividers, which remove the side cuts of the log from rest of the timber.
Looking closer at the reels and toothed wheels.
The log carriage at last should tell what kind of volume they had in production. It's manual, no engine power at all.
Edger is there too.
Just next to the gang saw is a trapdoor-like shutter. Under it lies the smallish main axis.
Blade sharpening room and, surprise - blade sharpener. Looks fresh.
Looks like a planer or then it's something else, in the carpenter building.
Something.... In the carpenter shop too.
Check out the engine block of the timber forklift. It says Bolinder!! A true sawmill brand.
