Kuoreveden Tiili Oy was founded in 1946 to supply highly needed materials for rebuilding the country. Kuorevesi was a small rural municipality, and this was the only brick producer in the area in the 20th century. The factory continued production until 1969. Later the area has been used for storing various stuff, a use which continues today.

Today, when Kuorevesi exists only in history, the wooden factory is becoming a ruin in the bushes. There will be no demolition, no rezoning the property, it just disappears during decades.
