Kekkosentie bridge, Tampere
colourline

In search for something small and interesting to check, we went under the bridge in Tampere one summer afternoon. The bridge which takes the Northern bypass road over stream Tammerkoski was built in the end of 1980's and is highly trafficed, but the world under it is less crowded.

dm-tpe_kekkosensilta06 The road named after our late president starts officially from this bridge.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta07 Not quite a short bridge, it's span must be somewhere around 100 meters.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta01 Now into action. The place is most frequented by writers, who else.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta08 At the other side, graffiti hardly visible to anybody.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta10 There seems to be something here..
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta05 Access to DM's first bridge rooms ever. Even if the bridge is not very old, access to every place constructed inside it has been arranged violently.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta02 First impressions: disturbed pigeons, excrement, dirt. Really, really exciting.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta03 In addition to cars and light traffic, the bridge takes some cables and district heat past the stream. The room on the left is for maintaining that stuff.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta04 It is a big bridge with lots of traffic, but in the end the beds on which it lies are suprisingly small. Here one.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta09 This is surely true, if you need to spend a lot of time under the bridge.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta11 Question, and the answer we all know.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta13 Most exciting part of the quick visit was the bridge under the bridge. You can cross the entire stream by walking on planks.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta12 There is a lot of graffiti also inside the bridge. However, it decreases dramatically when moving toward the center and free fall to the water.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta15 The trip past the stream is much longer than it seems from the ends. The planks are still in reasonable condition because they're away from rain, so it should be safe to walk them for a long time to come.
dm-tpe_kekkosensilta14 Western end of the bridge has no rooms. Time to go back.
