This section is special because one company has practical monopoly in it. Although railway monopoly has ended in Finland, the state's railway company VR has no competitors and in the end everything here related to railways belongs to them. During the last decades, VR have strongly reformed their business, and hundreds of small stations and stops have been left cold, demolished or sold for other use. Some just stand empty sheltering new railway safety equipment or other stuff. Some of these are suitable for closer expeditions.
