sawmills

Sawmilling was the number one industry in Finland until the WWI boosted metal industry's nationwide importance, even if the country itself wasn't waging that war. There are still numerous sawmills operating here. Many units have been ceased, some of them old, some big, some modern and some technically deprecated. These are our special interest. Related to this topic: see the page the Yellow Bible.
