Galvaniserings Ab (name later translated to finnish) was established in 1903 to Tammela district in Tampere to produce galvanized roof sheets. Later household items (like horseshoes) of the same material came to production, and much later pressure tanks and subcontracted coating. The firm grew so much that it couldn't expand in Tammela any more, so it moved to neighbor municipality in stages after the year 1970.

The part of the firm's premises in Tammela which stood the longest, a red brick building also known as Galvaano-talo was built in 1949. After zinc men left, the building was converted to offices, which was the use for forthcoming years. By the time of the final solution in 2005, the original identity of the building had naturally faded almost completely, but the history of metal industry made the place a bit more interesting.
