Coal-Fuel Industrial Power Station in Ansku (Antskog), Pohja (Pojo)

Naming becomes complicated when the place is located in a two-language municipality. Most place names are in two languages, and sometimes the translations are odd to say the least. If you ask me, Ansku is quite ridiculous an equivalent for the original name of this ironworks village with long history.

So, Ansku is a place of ironworks since around 1630. Among iron, copper has been processed here during the eventful industrial past. Also woolmills operated by the same rapids in 19th and 20th centuries. In 1960, the premises got a new owner Mako Oy after a bankcruptcy followed by an executory sale. With a new name, this firm designing and producing equipment for firefighting (formerly especially fire extinguishers) continues the industrial use of many of the buildings around the rapids today. Oldest of them age back to 1840's.

Because many buildings are still operational workshops and warehouses, it would sound like a bad idea to go sneaking around the yards. However, the rundown power station is a suitable building for inside adventuring. It's located in peaceful corner and it's security is not ultimate. Because we focus on the power station, the target is included here in "power stations" instead of "iron industry".
